Live long or die young?

If you could make a sort of Faustian pact, would you choose a short life, packed with experience, fame and a legacy or a long life of obscurity?
I'm thinking here of whether, for instance, I would choose to have been Jim Morrison or Jimi Hendrix rather than being old bozo.
I choose the fast option.
What about you?
A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?

Definitely the live short and amazing.
I am only 20 and I feel like I don't want to live very long... If I hit 40 then that will depress me.
But, hopefully I will have died from some crazy awesome sex accident far earlier than that.

Definitely have to go with quality over quantity.

Hmm.... poor show. I plan to die of either drugs or sex before then... More likely a combination of the two though.

Wasn't Achilles given the very option? You can live long and hold much wisdom and to see so many years pass but risk of being forgotten through time as will your name will be forgotten, or live fast and aim high for glory and wonder where you won't be forgotten as your incredible action will live on along with your name.
Fast sounds fun, long sounds....so far away. Can't decide.
