What do you think of Wicca?

They were both genuinely into it full time. And they genuinely tried to encourage all their friends including me to join. The problem is, they would generally do that by saying 'oh just come with us to <insert gathering/event> for the weekend, you'll love it. I never went to one of their campout/gathering/event things but several of our mutual friends did and did start to identify as wiccan afterward. But the reality is sort of like Christmas and Easter catholics just going on the holidays to ease their guilt for not going at all, our mutual friends were campout/event wiccan just going to the events so they could spend a weekend drinking with a large group of drunk sexually promiscuous strangers. One of our mutual friends (who generally couldn't get laid in a women's prison with a fist full of pardons) bragged to me how he bagged 4 different girls over 3 days at one their events. Yeah, fucking drunk unbathed strangers who likely have the herps (3/5 wiccan do I'm told) in a tent in the woods really isn't my kinda scene.

Sex at a sabbat is the champaign room myth of neopaganism.  Wink

You;d have to go looking specifically for that kind of group.

Remember that someone did speak of a shadow government, a president, the next day he is dead.

Sure thing sugar, lol.

I can;t help but giggle when the answer to the question of what you think about wicca is "shia shia shia..oprahs book club, double plus ungood evil, racist american nukes, conspiracy theory!".

We will bear patiently as we face the darkness. Because you let yourselves be manipulated by these Jinn Worshipers, my people suffer, as they drive you against us.

I blame it all on pretty rocks, in particular a rounded piece of quartz that I bought at The Forks, a touristy collection of shops and restaurants that I occasionally frequent.  The last time I got deeply into the New Age juice was in the late '90s when I was struggling to stay sane and happy in the throes of a soon-to-be-as-dead-as-a-Norwegian-Blue marriage.  Among other things I was collecting semi-precious stones, resuming a hobby that I had had as a child, and this particular piece of quartz ended up travelling in my pants pocket more often than not.  I used it as a mental anchor, something to focus on when I felt overwhelmed.

One afternoon at work in my IT job, I was in the break room and had this piece of quartz in my hand and was meditating on it.  For some reason I started imagining that I was talking with Oðinn (this was not long after I had started studying Scandinavian mythology), and "heard" the Allfather call me "uh stray' a."  Wot, I have a name to go with all my magical meanderings?  Kewl!

A bit of casual research into divine names came up with several possibilities.  Astarte didn't quite fit.  Astraea (the goddess better known as Virgo) was phonetically correct, and it's so nice of all those courthouses to put up statues of Her with scales and sword and blindfold.  However, I couldn't help but notice that the goddess variously known as Eostre and Ostara hadn't been heard from for a while, so I put an Icelandic/Old Norse spin on the spelling to get the name Astreja, and appointed Myself the goddess of the Vernal Equinox (but only in the Northern Hemisphere).  Later on, I added chocolate, punctuation, and Random Equipment Malfunctions to My divine dossier.

And I'm pretty sure that trouble-making piece of quartz is still somewhere in the house, probably in the bowl of shiny rocks in the living room.   Tongue
I love this story.  Big Grin
I've been reading about crystals, and such...there's always been some curiosity on that for me, but haven't really explored it too much.

So, do you think this was all a figment of your imagination? I don't, but that's just me. lol

I respect your views, MK. I always have respected your right to have them. But, you know something...Christians would think YOU'RE in the wrong, since you don't accept Jesus as the Messiah. You see, every religion has its own set of ''end goals,'' and anyone can find themselves being the offender or the offendee.

RE: What do you think of Wicca?
I accept Jesus as an anointed King from the line of David who will rule the world a long side the Mahdi and return to help bring balance to the world.

As for trinity, it has no basis in the Bible from what I understand, and how can it when every word for god can be translated to exalted or exalted ones depending if plural or not, even the beginning of John can said to be "and the word was (the) Exalted Ones" and the words use to translate to worship him can be translated to revere, and only begotten son can simply mean the only person he made a son of something without a father, but then Adam would be like that right? Except he wasn't implanted as a son, so it remains true.

And without trinity, what is the holy spirt but the image of God which Adam was created in, and that Mohammad would be the predicted instance of the holy spirit to come by Jesus in the future which had never been on the earth yet, and Elijah (Elyas) the one that was with the disciples of Jesus who is instance of that holy spirit.

And who else than Mohammad would be the one Moses prayed as "the one who God will send" when Moses would not be thinking let people understand my word and loosen my tongue through not any of the Messengers you send in my people except the last one.

No, he was not despairing but he was looking towards the future, and God got angry and said you have Aaron, don't think to the future, look at what you must do to prepare people for Aaron and not be thinking of the one God will send.

Who is the one God will send but a Messenger who is the one predicted by Jesus, the comforter who in his words has not come to this world? And who is that but the King from Ismael, is to be followed by 12 princes who inherit his authority, and yes Ismael had twelve sons, none of them inherited the authority and kingship of Abraham. But rather it was made in their number to preserve the number of successors, just as Jacob had twelve sons who offspring would be the nation meant to prepare the way for "the one who God will send".

And the family of Aaron was meant to be like the family of Abraham, the chosen ones were the exalted leaders (priests) and it was meant for them like leadership was meant for Jacob and Joseph.

And then non-sense that tried to do away with succession of Aaron and his family, is but that, none-sense, and a proof of that is the emphasis of Jesus that he is the morning star from the line of David, implying, there was always a morning star and light for the world.

They can say what they want, but at the end, Christians just parrot non-sense when it comes to the prediction of Mohammad clearly in the Gospels and Jews just play hush hush with predictions of Mohammad.

Ah, whats not to love about the business of a divine religion subverted towards the end of the earthly succession of princes.

You worship a claim to a title of dirt, and because of this, you say fucked up and ridiculous things about everyone who doesn;t.

Better then man choosing leaders and rebelling against God. And better then delegation of Angels which we cannot verify and see them ourselves without the 3rd eye and then end up relying on ignorant and blind trust and chaotic spread of views we can't verify to be from God.
