You jest but I realized at some point during the last college play I was in, that some of my peers were born in the last century (and millennium) and with the medical advances that have occurred in my lifetime, some will live to see the 2100s.  So they will have lived during part of three centuries and two millenniums.    That was a real "whooooooooaaaaaaa" deep moment for me.

not two millenniums, just one as a millennium marks 1000 years.

Joods, these college kids were born in the 1990s, which was during the last millennium. 2000 started the new millennium---their second.

Somebody tell me I'm not losing my mind. Please.

Zero to 999 = 1st millennium
1000 to 1999 = 2nd (those kids' first)
2000 to 2999 = 3rd (their second)
