8 kisses for every 92 slaps in the face.. Not a bad returnSmile

I wasn't a "beat around the bush" (go punsters!) kind of guy when I was roaming the meat markets of Miami back in the '70s. I seldom got slapped.

I have a pretty pathetic track record, and a numb left cheek.

My username is a track record. "Not even if you were the last poet on earth!"

That's a way to turn a man's heart into cold black coal.

Squeeze that coal hard  enough, him diamond.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I don't recall. The "him diamond" is from a Pratchett story.

Some uga-booga natives had a big idol with diamonds for eyes, cut and faceted like de Beers, of course. A bad guy stole one and Superman kept the piece by squeezing a lump of coal into a perfect match for the missing stone, right down to the facets. Pratchett may have seen this.

Try rolling it up. Doh

I used to stuff a newspaper up under my jacket when I was riding in LA in the "winter". (Temps below 60° F.) Kept the wind off the torso. Also good for slowing down knife stabs. Or so I've heard.
