But why in the world posit an elaborate remote control for organisms rather than allow that the governance arises with all the other organism's functioning?  Why must there be one universe in which objects exist and another for 'souls'?  Seems like a regular Rube Goldberg arrangement to me.

If you were truly honest with yourself, you would realize that fear of dying and experiencing the truth of nothing is what makes you illogically cling to the fantasy of a religious afterlife.

God doesn't give life. We are life eternal. God just created this universe and planet and our flesh to inhabit.

I thought you believed our immortality was owing to something joined to us but not of our bodies, correct?  So I'm just wondering why our earthly bodies are good enough to support sensory/motor functions.  Did I get that wrong?
