Damn, but it sucks to see the spreadsheet and realize you picked the wrong team. No freakin' way the Jag-offs beat the Squealers.

Yeah. I'm not liking this week already. And nobody else picked Ma'homie. It's either God or goat, I guess.

If you look at the Home vs Away picks column that I added to the spreadsheet you’ll see that HFA is a factor. Possibly a minor one but when you have two pretty equal teams like the Chiefs and the Rams it might be the difference maker.
However I think the main factor here will be the offense vs defense. The Rams and Chiefs are #1 and #2 in offense respectively. There’s not much separating them there. However the Chiefs are 31st overall I’m defense while the Rams are 23rd. That’s a big enough separation that combined with HFA it might make the difference.
I think it’s gonna be a close game though, tbh.

Looking at the past year, the major tilts towards the home team occurred earlier in the season. The last month the home field advantage has been decidedly less important.
Anyhoo. I tend to be less about the stats. I just see the Rams as a step down from last year, despite their record, and especially given the difficulty they had with Green Bay.
