perhaps because there's good and bad in all of us and and our subjective biases tint our ingestion of facts about the world? Or maybe because our brain's are just classifying machine and it's a pretty easy to sort fruit if you only have a good and bad basket to put that stuff in.

The old adage about a terrible final dress rehearsal means a good opening night?  Not always.  But it does sound like one of those that should have scared the crap out of everyone to the point where they'll straighten up and fly right.  I look forward to hearing how opening night goes...
