Banned for pedantry. It's the same animal, just two different spellings, and I was just joshing the Cod. And then a confession- the possum down under is kind of a nice looking critter. The US version is a monstrosity.

They're still vermon here down under. They're in my trees on my back fence ... They make god awful grunting sounds and have ripped the silly brown turd a few times (with their Freddy Krueger claws) when he's gone to investigate...
