I really hate this 2nd Amendment argument. That is a dodge the NRA has used for 40 years. Nobody is in denial that it exists. And since there is no political party oath to own a firearm, that means, GASP...... Even democrats own them!

If the worshipers want to be asshole originalists we can go that route and only allow muskets. Otherwise laws have to change with changing technology.

Maybe if we arm enough people, the only ones left alive will be the cops and the criminals, and the police task of determining which is which will be made easier.
