In india your mom, sister, grandparents, and 13000 aunts would be looking at prospective brides at this point. No one would ask you what you want. The position of the stars from when you were born must match with that of those form your prospective brides (there's something grammatically wrong with that sentence but I can't be arsed to figure it out). Anyone from outside your caste and subcaste wouldn't even be considered. You'd have to marry whoever you were told to marry, you'd be unhappy asf, get a whole lot of debt, and then you'd kill yourself, your wife, and your newborn kids. Preferably by hanging.
