Hello
Hello everyone. Im not really like you. In fact Im pretty different.

I am a Christian, and Im not ashamed to admit it.

I am a baptist, and I am from a fine state in the South. Tennessee to be precise.

Needless to say I don't think much of atheism. In fact.. Im might go so far as to say...if you want proof of God's existence, come on down to Tennessee...the prettiest little state in the union. You walk in the Great Smoky Mountains park and you tell me God didn't design it all!

Anyway...lets see. I love God. I love my guns and my coonhounds Rick and  Annie. I love my nativity scenes big, gaudy and on public property, and I love my taxes low.

I hope for a fruitful and cordial discussion with all of you...and I sincerely hope y'all had a Merry Christmas  Cool

RE: Hello
Welcome aboard,  Tennessee, psh, Kentucky has you beat!  I'm a big fan of guns and hounds and low taxes myself. Wink
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

RE: Hello
Welcome.

But, just believing in something unverifiable doesn't make you much different.

It just makes you an easy mark.

Welcome, mister Baptist.
Hmm, excuse my ignorance, but does that mean that you baptize people?

PICS!!!
Welcome aboard! I admire your respectfulness in coming here despite not thinking much of atheism and being a devout christian to boot. If you start trying to convert peeps I probably won't feel too kindly towards you, but for now... I hope you have a good time.
Merry Christmas!

You want "cordial" discussions but start your first introduction post with, "Needless to day I don't think much of atheism."

That's fair I guess, I don't think much of the claims of antiquity when humans didn't have benefit of modern knowledge.
