You haven't brushed past something like a 'New Sceintist' article in your internet travels? Or some Astronomer's web page (Sucha s Phill Plait) and read their inormation on the topics as you've perused the interwebz?

I'm kind of flummoxed as to what it is you wish.

My question is more simply seeking an understanding of your state of understanding/knowledge/awarness.

It is no more imaginary than the 2 that is the X in 2+X=4.


The rotational curve of galaxies shows it.


The fact that galaxy clusters exist shows it.


If you can’t understand why that is so, then you need to shove your Bible in the garbage and spend a few years studying something actually worth learning.

Dark Matter is simply a name given to something we cannot observe directly 'hence dark matter' but we can very much see the effects of. We have lots of evidence it exists. The nearest thing to it would be gravity, we don't actually know what gravity is, but we observe its effect very well and could show evidence that gravity is present.

Same with dark matter, what it is made of is a mystery but again it effects are predictable and observable. So we know 'something' is there and can prove it. DarK Matter is simply a placeholder name given to it, till hopefully one day we do.
