Dumb things people say
My partner and I went to the lake district today.

We went into a pub-cum-restaurant-cum-hotel thingy and had a cream tea.

On the wall was a flat screen TV about the size of a minor planet.  It was playing old vids.

The place was actually better than it sounds.

Anyways, there was a vid of Simon & Garfunkel playing.  Well, I said it was an old vid.

My partner and I were having a conversation.

The guy on the next table, without a by your leave, interrupted and said to us, pointing at Art Garfunkel, "who's the guy with Simon Garfunkel ?"

At first I smiled.  I though it an unfunny joke.

He then continued "It's that actor guy, what's his name ...?"

I then realised that the guy was serious. Doh

The first time I went to London, I asked a guy on the street how to get to Leicester Square.

I pronounced it "Lye-Chester."

I actually seriously overheard one teenaged girl say to another, 'You know, before Paul McCartney got famous, he was in a band called "Wings" '.

I cried for an hour.

One afternoon, McCartney and Wings showed up and asked if they could play that night (for free).

They played that night.

Then they left.

Best soddin' gig I ever went to apart from maybe Curved Air.

Did you say Curved Air????

I know that you're afraid of what might happen
Uncertain what to give and what to take
Already you've forgotten why you came here
I can see exactly why you came
It happened today
It happened today
It happened today
It happened today

This is one reason why I smoke.

But I will get back to that other well thought out post.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Summer's comin', time to dream the day away
And she's so sunny is the girl you met today
Will she make it? Can she take it? Like to try love, such a shy love

Larry Fine's son, DUH.
