You know if you are actually there in person it's pretty bad. It's a public bridge, part of I-275S. Even though they've had a toll since they rebuilt the bridge (after a couple of drunks with the title of "Captain" hit it with a couple of boats and killed some people) it's in the same sort of disrepair any interstate is likely to be in.

There is some amazing scenery in the U.S., especially in places such as Yellowstone or Glacier National Park. Some American cities on the sea are incredible. The deserts of Arizona, and the red rocks of Utah are stunning, as are the Rockies in their massive grandeur.
That said, the UK has an intensity of blacks, greys and greens, surrounded by seas, that is unrivaled.

LOL, I wish I was a bridge builder. I got to run a pavement miller on the center span once a few years back. Lemme just say, that was a view. We brought out the biggest miller we had so you're sitting up so high that the guardrails disappear beneath the machine. The whole time you're literally scraping away the pavement beneath you, a couple hundred feet above the Gulf of Mexico. Surreal experience.
