I love NYC's diversity, but never was really a fan of the skyline itself.

So your argument is that any area that's not perfect shouldn't have a hand in the strictures that govern them? Given the fact that literally every area has flaws, the conclusion I'm finding inescapable is that no areas should have a say in the federal government, and therefore, it's impossible for me to see how your ideal form of government isn't an autocracy.

I'll take this as a ringing endorsement of #2 in my options of why you believe that "love it or leave it" ideology.
