So it is ok to literally cut the balls off or surgically wreck the reproductive system of a cat... but not ok to remove it's claws. something only a feral cat needs.

what governs what is barbarous in your mind.. there doesn't seem to be a consistent standard.

idk about you I would rather have my finger nails removed than my balls cut off. In fact i personally incrementally remove portions of my fingernails on a very regular basis, yet have never removed any portion of my testicals. may even consider a surgery if I thought nail removal would be come a problem or difficult. (think feet problems with toe nails/people have them removed all the time)

How many times do people have to say it's not having your fingernails removed. That's trimming a cat's claws. Declawing is cutting off part of their toe, the equivalent of cutting off your finger to the first knuckle and then your toes to boot.

Maybe I am wrong. I don't see any evidence to suggest that, but I'd be willing to say I was wrong if you ever bothered to prove any of your points. I've seen threads where you give ten or more short sentence responses, all inflammatory. There are a few examples in this thread. You don't respond to my points, you just insinuate things or outright insult over and over again. If you're not just flaming, and you actually want a part in this discussion, why aren't you showing evidence of your claims? Why when I respond to you, do you go off topic and just rant about how I'm always right and I call everyone trolls? I'd be happy to change my mind about you, but I foresee a short response to this post as well that doesn't include on-topic research on your claims or really anything more substantial than an attempt to piss me off. I'm sorry I'm not rising to the occasion, but this is long played out.

Cutting pieces off of animals is cutting pieces off of animals, this really shouldn’t be a debate.

It’s self evidently true and completely unobjectionable by reference to facts.

Some of us are more comfortable cutting one piece off than others. Also self evidently and unobjectionably true.

It -should be- pretty easy to accept that cutting pieces off of animals , no matter what piece or how much, isn’t exactly a saintly activity where one cutting faction can lucidly claim that the other faction is s hunch if ghouls, lol.

We’re all ghouls, we’re all looking to justify why we cut pieces off of animals, and which piece.

We -all- appear to think that cutting off something or another is the solution to the problem of that animals very existence.

I don’t do a damned thing to my cats... but I can at least acknowledge that all of these competing mutilations serve a useful purpose. Fix them, dock their ears, declaw them...hell....fucking blind them- each will solve some issue important to human beings. The cat is an afterthought in each and every equation- and that’s okay.
