Honestly, if someone told me they had dolphin on the grill, being from the esb....I wouldn’t think flipper first.
But I wouldn’t yank back if they actually meant flipper, either, lol.

Off the Western U.S. coast these fish are called Dorado.
Some people say tators and some people say potato, but a potato cannot be confused with tomatos which are not vegetables but are fruit. Dolphins are akin to the same bullshit confusion. Dolphins are mammals and tomatos are fruit, not vegetables.
Dolphins swimming in water only mean they swim in water like fish, but the are still not tuna.

That clears it all up with that special nomenclature by not a layperson. 
A tuna is not a fruit...got it.

I think anyone who has lived for even a short time in Florida is well familiar with dolphin sandwich. It was always entertaining to see a tourist go beserk in a restaurant when he/she saw it on a menu though, lol. One place I frequented had a floor-to-ceiling wall display explaining the situation in order to avoid that. Some people will get really pissed when they think an establishment is serving Flipper.

A "dolphin fish" is a fish, but a dolphin is MAMMAL AND NOT A FISH.
Again don't talk shit to me if you cant or wont recognize the difference between how a scientist uses language and how a layperson uses language.
Dolphins and tuna both swim, but one is a mammal and the other is fish. This isn't rocket science.
