Will someone kindly clarify - why so many Central and South Americans are " fleeing danger in their homeland"  and coming to the US?

As far as peaceful places to live -
the US comes in at #128 - well behind Chile, Costa Rica, Equador and El Salvador.

Yes i'm sure these people read the global index before fleeing. Of course they are all just evil liars lying about the reason they are fleeing to steal all your jobs and money ,And all those aid organization are all just evil liars too . Nope I'm not insulting them .I'm pointing out in interviews many of them admitted they didn't research the US and know little about it because the didn't have the time or luxury of doing so . Not to mention some of them didn't even want to go to the US but felt it was the best option. So no I didn't say or imply they were stupid . I was saying they didn't have the time of didn't feel then need because they believed they knew enough to leave or simply didn't care.

The link wouldn't open for me, so I couldn't check out the index in any meaningful way.

But wow, the USA is ranked 128th? That's like bottom half of the world isn't it? Is that still above the "shithole" threshold? Asking for a friend.

Never expected a "USA Sucks" kinda thread from OLB. Life is full of surprises I guess.
