Atheism is a spit in the face of Native Americans.  The people who persecuted Native Americans were largely Christians.  Atheists tend to dismiss Christianity.  This has the effect of atheists telling Native Americans, 'What happened to you is horrible, and is the result of a religiously motivated fucked up sense of ethnic supremacy that most atheists don't share.'

Well, to be fair, it seems highly likely that the number of Muslims involved in the Wounded Knee Massacre was very, very small.  This, of course, proves that Muslims are more moral than atheists.
