The purpose of the [Serious] rules (no derailing, no insults, etc) is to keep the thread on track out of respect for the OP (any OP, not just this one).
Since theMadJw saw fit to open his thread with an insult - in the title, no less - and has subsequently been thread banned for doing so, I'd say the [Serious] restrictions no longer apply.
