I can understand the Secret Service risking their health to get him to Walter Reed when they found out he had it. But that fucking joyride for vanity this weekend is beyond the pale. That fucker doesn't give a shit about anyone but himself. It is their job to take a bullet for him, not get sick to stroke his ego.

That bullshit stunt put his drivers and Secret Service at risk. It was completely unnecessary. To be fair, it might have been therapeutic - it’s pretty plain that Trump has an obsessive need for adulation. A car ride in front of his supporters could have picked up his spirits. Then again, he’s stuck in a feedback loop that prevents him from making good decisions. Boru

He was in a sealed car with Secret Service who were put at risk by their close proximity to Trump for his little ride up and down the street. This was as much as photo op as was the standing in front of the church with the backward, upside down Bible after having people gassed to make his way there. For once I have to back Brian. This inane stunt has been heavily reported, both on TV and the Internet. Who leaves a hospital to drive up and down to wave and people and then return to their room? |
