Your Thanksgiving Plans?

My son says he only shows up for the side dishes.

For me the turkey is only essential for making gravy...beyond that, I'm just in it for the side dishes.

Growing up, I was only in it for the white meat off the turkey.

Spending thanksgiving with selective family—we usually don’t do turkey —instead we are sort of potlucking and I am making shepherd pie. Never made it before, never even tried it before so it would be fun.

The boyfriend made a holiday meal for me to eat this morning, since I work the overnight shift, and I am enjoying it right now.

Precooked, pre-sliced turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes.

There's also other stuff that I'll probably save for later: pasta salad, pumpkin pie.

The two things I won't touch: greens and yams.

Looks scrumptious.  I had to chuckle about the collection of medication bottles amidst the food.    Hilarious

Yeah, I'm kinda absent-minded about throwing out empty medication bottles (and yes, the bottles in the photo are all empty). Fun fact: earlier in the week, I was prescribed Allegra-D because (alas) my recovery for my septoplasty and turbinectomy has only half gone as well. Specifically, only my right nostril seems to be recovering properly. The left nostril's turbinates are still swollen as if from an allergic reaction. So the doctor prescribed it, and when I was filling my pillboxes, I decided to throw out the empty blister packs and I was briefly in a panic because I thought I accidentally threw out one that actually still had meds left. I found it anyway.

I take 29 different meds each day. I will, some day, explode when I reach a critical mass of pharmaceuticals.
