I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Husband and I don't drink any more.  Daughter and son very rarely.  Son-in-law a recovering alcoholic.  The strongest beverage around will be iced tea.

We're doing Cornish game hens, as usual. But this year we're defrosting them separately and only cooking one bird at a time, just to be safe.

My husband is cooking for us and the girls, and that's about it. My younger siblings will visit in small groups because they live close by, and so will my sister. But my older brother isn't coming to Thanksgiving this year. So it'll have been a year since I've seen him. At least I have a couple days off I guess.

The wife is going to roast turkey, and one of my sons will smoke turkey. I'll stay out of the way, and then pig out. It's one of four or five days a year that my wife makes dinner.

My family won't be having our usual Thanksgiving feast at my brother's house this year, so I'm going over to Mom's house for lunch.  Hungry

Turns out that it's just going to be a roast turkey, none will be smoked. Not disappointed, though. There will be other things to eat.
