[Quranic Reflection]: moon absorbed by the sun in the Quran: far future.
RE: [Quranic Reflection]: moon absorbed by the sun in the Quran: far future.
Ah, but muslims want us to believe that they copied other peoples religions because an angel told a rug merchant some shit in cave. We're not supposed to wonder whether they might have heard about this stuff the same way that anyone else ever heard about anything. We're not supposed to notice that they then engaged in the same establishment myth production as all of the other people who did the same thing, with those same beliefs.

Ultimately, we're not supposed to notice that magic book..is a book, written by people. That has to be the single hardest pill to swallow. Not that god transcribed their thirdhand religion...but that they think anyone other than themselves would believe that....and, in the case of OP specifically...that this silly shit is the kind of silly shit that would convince anyone else.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Judgement Day is the day of resurrection; it will come after our deaths, we shall rise from the dead to be judged by God and then receive our judgement for our deeds in this life.

Shockingly; verse 9 of Sura 75 is predicted exactly by science; when the sun turn into a "red giant" in the far future, it is expected to swallow the moon:

Eclipse and zombies. Stolen from the Christians. Or more accurately, stolen from the same credulous pagans that the Christians stole it from.

You can tell that it has nothing to do with the Earth-Moon system being engulfed by the Sun billions of years from now as it becomes a red giant by the verse immediately before it. "And the moon is dimmed" is precisely the opposite of what would happen as the Sun expanded to engulf it.

The events in the order of the verses speak about what happens in the day of judgement (see verse 1):
1- The moon is dimmed (verse 8)
2-The moon and the sun joining (verse 9)

This is identical to the scientific explanation:

https://www.space.com/22471-red-giant-stars.html

Quote:A red giant star is a dying star in the last stages of stellar evolution. In only a few billion years, our own sun will turn into a red giant star, expand and engulf the inner planets, possibly even Earth. What does the future hold for the light of our solar system and others like it?

When the sun becomes a red giant, automatically the light from the moon will be dimmed because the light from the sun will be massive + both the earth and the moon will be so close from the sun. So massive that a celestial body that reflects the sun's light will be insignificant.

Let alone that earth and the sun will get so close because in the end; we know the conclusion:

Expanding red giant stars will swallow too-close planets. In the solar system, the sun will engulf Mercury and Venus, and may devour Earth, as well.

The Quranic verse told the tale of this event with mere few words.

Not true:

Quote:[Quranic Reflection]: Quranic manuscripts from 1400 years

Quote:The Birmingham Quran manuscript is a parchment on which two leaves of an early Quranic manuscript are written. In 2015 the manuscript, which is held by the University of Birmingham,[1] was radiocarbon dated to between 568 and 645 CE (in the Islamic calendar, between 56 BH and 25 AH).[2][3] It is part of the Mingana Collection of Middle Eastern manuscripts, held by the university's Cadbury Research Library.[2]

When this book gives a detailed scenario that people only knew today; then this book is special.

And in case science is currently wrong, and none of this is gonna happen?
You will re-interpret your garbage book and claim victory revelation again

Arguing with you about your magic book is like playing chess with a pidgeon.

Meh, whatever, I say we put a pin in it. Winter is right. It's absolutely talking about what the authors believed was the day of judgement, which turns out to be the death of a star instead. Magic book, and all of islam, one giant misunderstanding born out of some rug merchant getting a glimpse of a future he couldn't comprehend.

If only it had been a western middle schooler in that cave, all of this could have been avoided.

The distance of the moon from earth is ever-increasing, so it's going to be getting dimmer for quite a while, by the time the sun becomes a red giant its orbit will be about 40% larger that it is today. When the sun is a red giant the drag caused by its extended atmosphere will cause the moon's orbit to decay, drawing it closer to earth (and therefore becoming brighter). When the moon reaches the Roche Limit, tidal forces will pull it apart, forming a Saturn-like ring over the equator. The debris will eventually fall to earth and the planet will be moonless by the time the sun reaches its greatest point of expansion, which may or may not include the earth.

We'll see how Winterhold can pull that out of his magic book.

Of course, all this happens long past when ALL life on Earth is long dead.  There will be no-one to see it, and therefore no judgment involved.

If descendants of humans exist on other worlds, in which case they won't even notice it happening.  Perhaps we will have devolved into slugs on an alien world (as in one Voyager episode).

There are tons of examples in the history where someone said something that turn out to be true or close to true—does that make those people cuckoo prophets now?

Greek philosopher Democritus came up with the idea of atom long ago we knew about it. Does that mean some fairy tale creature whispered into his ears.

Anyone who has any semblance of iota of intelligence left in their brain would figure out that it’s not the prediction per se that’s important, it’s the explanation of the phenomenon that matters—the nitty gritty details that explains the true nature of reality—anything short is a guess work and ANY guess work has a positive probability of happening.

If predictions is all you needed then Nostradamus would the god —all you have to do is write some cryptic shit, which is abundant in quran, and voila, you can make the connection by the way of contortion and mental gymnastics.

This is the same book that claims meteorites are fireballs thrown at genies to shoo them away—go figure.

So the debris of the moon will fall into earth, then both will fall into the sun, that means that the sun and the moon did join..at that point the humans present on earth would say:

Quote:(10) on that Day one will cry, “Where is the escape?”-Sura 75, The Quran:

Note that all of this would happen on judgement day which is "the day of resurrection", humans will be resurrected from death with stronger bodies that can sustain very long duration of hellish suffering or eternal joy in paradise.
