RE: What's everyone up to right now?

Finally sitting down somewhere comfortable after spending nearly 5 hours sitting in my car at the surgery center while husband had a stent put in his heart.
I could have sat inside but the chairs didn't look more comfortable and I'd have had to wear a mask the whole time. Did some Sudoku and finally started reading a book on The Lost Colony.
Hopefully will be able to get a good night's rest.

Remember when they used a mallet and a large knife to break the sternum and crack people open like a lobster to work on their hearts? We've come a long way. Good medicine for your husband!
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

This is Total Wine's house brand anejo. It's rather smooth, if a bit non-descript. I prefer grassy to peppery, but it manages to ring neither bell. Still, for $30, I'l stoically suffer my way through a bottle.

Only with non-patients these days.

Brewing a pot of half and half. I'm hopeful that I'll get more done today than I did yesterday, but not optimistic.

Drinking beer and hoping I don't post another load of inebriated, unpleasant, insane, belligerent nonsense all over the internet, and particularly this forum, again.

It's 5 F outside and I'm headed across town to Maplewood to donate blood plasma. I'm bundled up like the Michelin man. They normally close at 6:00 P.M., but it being Christmas Eve, they might close early at 2 or 3. I would get there before 2:00, but my bus was late. I'm wearing new boots and new long undies that I haven't worn before, so hopefully they'll perform satisfactorily. And on top of everything else my bus pass expired yesterday. I've got limited value cards, but not enough to last until I get my new card.
Feh.
"Merry" Christmas.
