HB1 should be We The Democrats who won an election are now going to re- write the rules Act.
"We The People Act" my aching ass.....
Re-writing the rules is what you DO when you win an election. It’s one of the perks of being in power. Always has been.

I just realized something - we’re talking about two different pieces of proposed legislation. Not only are you in a tizzy over the name of the bill, you got the name of the bill wrong to begin with. Sheesh.

It fucks over those who want to pick pocket the rest of us. It should be called "The Sanity Act".

The only reason it seems like a power grab is because the Republicans have become so alienating to a good-sized portion of the population that the only way they can potentially gain power is by jacking the system. This includes voting restrictions that disproportionately effect minorities. And, as I’ve mentioned several times, they’ve admitted this. They even admitted it to the Supreme Court earlier this week.
What this is, is un-jacking the system. A partial one, I admit, but still.

So far you have not demonstrated how a single provision in this bill only benefits "sleazebag politicians" if anything the opposite is the case i mean how is opening up more voting to the general public and curtailing actions of the political class something that benefits the "sleazebag politicians"? The answer is it doesn't.

It would imply that you only give gifts to your significant other to save face when you fuck up, so my suggestion as a highly successful married man is to give gifts because it's a nice thing to do, and never do it as an apology.

Truth is - I used that for illustrative purposes and observing guys who do that.....
I do enough for my SO that she is quite appreciative.
If I did fuck up - and rarely do - she' d forgive me....
