What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
RE: What Do You Know Today That You Didn't Know Yesterday?
Glen A. Larson, producer and creator of Quincy M.E., Battlestar Galactica, The Fall Guy, Magnum P.I., and Knight Rider (among others) was once punched out by James Garner for plagiarizing scripts and music from The Rockford Files.

There is apparently a limit to the number of SD cards of a given model that you can buy at one time.

And there's a story behind how I learned this: I've mentioned before that I like to stream music from a little WiFi streamer that takes SD cards. At the moment, I carry 5 64-gig SD cards' worth of music, and every so often, either one of the cards ends up breaking or they get close to the limit and it's time to add a new card and reorganise which card carries which music. And when that happens and we don't have any spares, Dad and I usually get three, one for the immediate problem at hand, one for the next time, and one for safety. Recently, I found that not only does it look like some of the cards are close to the limit, but two of the cards I already had were dangerously close to splitting in half. So, this time, I asked Dad to get five of them. And, fortunately, it looks like PNY's selling theirs for about $11 a pop on Amazon. So, Dad bought them, and they arrived today, but apparently three were of the SDXC Flash Card model and two were of the Elite-X model. This is apparently because there was some kind of restiction about how many of some model can be sold. Why this is the case, I don't know. Dad suspects there might be something to do with the special pricing.

Edit: Also, you know how the advertised capacity is higher than the actual capacity due to some weird overhead thing? Apparently, PNY reduced their advertised capacity so it's now dangerously close to the limit.

So, getting internet in my home in Mexico has been a trial. The provider that serves my address tells me that my passport, residency visa, and lease are insufficient to prove identity and address.

As it turns out, the holy grail, the fucking golden ticket, the keys to the fucking castle, is a copy of my electric bill - which is not even in my name.

Third world problems LOL.

18th century English pirate Benjamin Hornigold [aside: awesome name for a pirate, amiright?] once attacked a sloop off Honduras and took everyone's hats. Hornigold's crew had gotten drunk the night before and tossed their own hats overboard. No other harm was done to the sloop, its crew, or its passengers.

I’ll take the bagels. You can have my share of the lox.
