Yesterday in an effort to let three very excited dogs out between rainstorms, they zigged and I zagged and in my efforts to not step on anyone I am pretty sure I broke my little toe...which is now a big toe with various shades of blue and purple. Didn't realize how bad it was till I had to put a shoe on. UGH.

True story. I broke a bone in my ankle tripping over a Dachshund in high school.

True Dachshund story...My grandpa came to the US from Germany and kept his thick accent throughout his life. When my uncle on that side and his wife had a daughter they gave her a name that they thought grandpa would really like. When he heard the name his response was, "ACH! We had a Dachshund named Heidi when I was a kid!"
I can still hear him say it in my head. Oh, and the colors of my foot are changing in amazing ways. At least no actual dogs were harmed in this little adventure.
Waking up with a pounding headache should indicate some partying the night before. I feel cheated.
If you have a female Dachshund that's in heat and worry about males getting to her, lock her in an upstairs room.
She'll be perfectly safe. A Dachshund can't run upstairs with a hardon... Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
I was going to paint today but it is too cold. I think I curl up and read instead.
