Funny thing about me when I dream is that I can feel things, but the feeling feels more like a memory of feeling something than actually feeling it. Like this one time I felt that me and family died in a car crash and I can feel the heat from the explosion hitting my face and my skin melting away.

Other than having that I am a veteran marked on my driver's license, I don't use it for anything else. I didn't serve long, didn't suffer a long-term injury, and it's not the military's fault I had to ask for a hardship discharge when my husband died. Today I did use my veteran status to get a cut rate on upgrading to Pandora Premium. Feels a little weird to me to use my status for anything.

Of course, if Pandodra offered an old people discount I wouldn't have gone the veteran route.

Sure glad husband hasn't lost his talent for ruining anything special.

He came home with his ass on shoulders about something and bit my head off. Not a happy birthday, not a card...just a giant fuck you.

My going quiet (never a good thing) sent him up to the bedroom at a little after 5. He'll come home from work tomorrow and play the "nothing happened" game while I play the silent game. And I am much better at it...as long as he's uncomfortable - I'll be silent.

Holidays, birthdays, trips...it's the same shit every damn time.
