"You'll watch an entire Netflix series even when the first episodes are slow just because someone told you it gets better, but what if you looked at your goals like that and watched your life get better instead?"

"To be an atheist is an illness, to deny the Christ a tragic destiny, not to recognize the spirit is blindness of soul." - Rudolf Steiner

That's not a diss toward anyone here, it's more like a self-critique.

I don’t see how, as neither you nor Steiner are remotely atheists.

Steiner was a crackpot, and believed in shit like clairvoyance. His remarks about atheists, like this one, can be dismissed out of hand.

Yeah I mean, I'm not an atheist, but I really don't care about the whole "Christ" thing, I never cared about that very much, I always just believed in God and that's it, but lately (over the past few years), I've felt like Christ is something special that I'm missing out on, as if it's some kind of spiritual grace that I'm not receiving.

Then how is the quote a self-critique and not a dig at atheists?

Because I do, essentially, deny Christ, and wonder if being in this state of denial, will lead me down paths I shouldn't explore. I mean, I already left Catholicism, soooooo.......
