Was cutting fabric yesterday and started watching 'Maid' on Netflix. So far I am liking it pretty well.

Been watching a rather strange Korean series called Squid Game on Netflix. If you have Netflix you may have noticed there are a bunch of Korean series and films. As for the acting, I really prefer Mexican soapies. (Queen Of The South starring Alice Braga is a corker)

If you do not happen to have the great good fortune to have been born in Australia, you're in for a treat!  Netflix has apparently bought Aussies films in bulk. Very much like the curate's egg; some of them are excellent. I'm fond of Breaker Morant because the interiors were filmed in Adelaide. The courtroom is actually the old church where  I used to go to AA meetings.

Below is a list of the best (?) 25 Aussie films currently available on Netflix.

This is my list: "Wake in Fright", "Wolf Creek", "Walkabout", "Muriel's Wedding", ""Priscilla Queen of The Desert",  "Gallipoli" (1981), "Picnic At Hanging Rock" and "The Castle". There's one which is so excruciating  that it's great ; "They're A Weird Mob" (1966) Below a link two trailers. They're a weird Mob and The Castle

They're a weird mob

The Castle (Has a young Eric Bana; he's from Adelaide!))

Have you ever seen the original British version with Ricky Jervais? Much better.  US producers have ben fucking up Brit sitcoms for over 40 years.

I tried watching the British version, but I had already been so invested in the American characters by then that I just couldn't make myself like the British cast. Generally, I agree about British programming being better, so now that the American version has ended I might give the British show another chance.

Giving the British version of Shameless another chance.

Names are the same.

One difference, the British Ian is a bottom while the American Ian is a top.

Another difference, British Lip is cuter than American Lip while British Ian is not cuter than American Ian.

British Liam is white while American Liam is black.

British Debbie seems crazier at a young age that didn't quite evolve in American Debbie till she was older. Also, British Debbie looks like Hermione.

British Veronica is white while American Veronica is black.

Bold mine - IMHO, he would almost have to be.

Yeah, the body in the American version was there, but not so much with the face.

Now I'm waiting for the British Mickey to make an appearance.

Looking at pictures, however, Jody Latham didn't age too well.
