Custody cases generally have things like that spelled out in them.  As in, moving a child away from the non-custodial parent.  We know of a couple that recently split and the courts have determined the area (three counties) that she can live in with the son.  For that to change, a new legal agreement would have to be made.  If she takes Peanut out of that area to live, she is in breach of the custody agreement and could essentially be charged for same.

As for who make how much money that's an issue more about spousal support and not the child.  

Both of them made a baby.  Both of them are responsible for supporting said child financially.  The amount that is ordered by the court is usually based on income.  The fact that a mother gets a raise, or a better job, in no way means daddio is off the hook.

I'm entitled to what I work for, which is quite a lot. I make a conscious effort to develop myself, so I deserve more than people who do not do that.
