We made those when my boys were in Cub Scouts, never to be repeated, EVER. Wasn't my idea, because other leaders came up with it. Stupid idea, IMO. Who goes hiking into the wilderness with a roll of foil in his backpack, anyway?

Yup. Little of it would end up eaten by me.
That's the night I'd typically eat the can of sardines and pilot biscuits from my field emergency kit.
Being hungry at 14 *was* an emergency!

I admit shame for not knowing better when feeding my children Vienna Sausages. Lots of other shit, like mac&cheese, too. We didn't know any better, and took them to church, too. Thankfully we're better, now. They are atheists and don't eat that crap...mostly.

Same here. Which is odd because I've grown to like tripe in pho, I like spicy foods, and beans are a big part of my diet.
