While you may be banned, it will not be because you're a theist (no matter your preemptive protestations), but because you ran afoul of the rules. We have theist member who have been here even longer than I have. I figure you for 6-months max before you jump the shark and commit suicide by admin.

@ Data
And yet, here you are - an unbanned theist on an atheist forum. If being a theist was a ban-worthy offense, the hammer would have fallen over a year ago.

If we’re going to be accused of being militant atheists, I think we should embrace it and have uniforms or patches or something. I’m thinking something like the Swiss Guard.
Suggestions?

Does the uniform come with a sharpened spoon?

Don't have an opinion to speak of, don't concern themselves with any intrusions caused by it, don't trust "science" any more than "religion." Wouldn't spend a minute on a forum like this, in fact, would think it a stupid waste of time. My experience online is quite different. I refer to the later, those who post on forums like this, as militant atheism. They typically don't react well to that, naturally, but hell, they typically don't react too well to anything this militant theist says.
Let's set aside God for a while and talk atheism.
Do you think that participation here is indicative of something more than a purely theistic or Biblical objection, or as I suspect, a sociopolitical objection? the usual reaction to this question is to say that atheism is a rejection of God. Nothing more, but really, posting on a forum like this reflective of that? Of nothing except a rejection of gods?
Please don't respond with just personal attacks unless you have something more substantial to say. That sort of response only masks something else.
As much as I'd love to say I'm just here for the dick jokes, as long as there are people willing to use their political power to harm others just because they don't fit in with their views of what a Christian society should be, there will always need to be a sociopolitical objection. And, let me tell you, with a major political party openly embracing authoritarianism and using an extreme interpretation of Christianity as their rationale for it, it's more necessary than ever.
