If there's ever a nuclear attack, do we get alerts on our phones, or do they expect the falling bombs to be enough of an alert for us?

We have Civil Defense Sirens. Trouble is, they’re also used to alert the local fire brigade. So, we’re never sure whether we’re about to be reduced to radioactive ash or if someone’s tool shed caught fire.

"They pulled the alligator from the waterway and euthanized it." I suppose that's the polite way to put it.

Just checked the status of a couple things that are being delivered today by Amazon. There is a "product support" button next to the stationary bike I ordered. There is not a "product support" button next to the parrot food. There is one next to the kitchen sponges. I am confused as to how they determine what you may or may not need support for.

I feel like an absolute pile of dog shit. "But Ahriman, you ARE a pile of dog shit". Yeah, yeah. Save it. I just feel bad.

It might help if you could clarify as to the why.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
