Tedious, boring sex. No thanks. I can just dig into my own memory should I ever want to visit that scenario.

LOL - yes, there is a lot of sex in her later books and although some of it is good, she actually managed to make a lot of it tedious and boring. For anyone interested in the Fantasy/Erotica combo, I do recommend her Fey books starting with _A Stroke of Midnight_.
I prefer to get stroked a little earlier in the evening.

Lol. You guys are hilarious.
But seriously _A Stroke of Midnight_ is great fiction. SOME of LKH's fiction is tedious but not that book.

I think I started to read one of her Anita Blake books and lost interest early on. Perhaps I just wasn't in the mood for it at that time.
With my bunch of Audible credits, maybe I will give the author another try.

I never got into a lot of authors because I was too conservative to buy their books simply to see if I liked their work. The library shelf never had the first book of their series, and I was too lazy to put in a request to have it delivered from another library.

These days you can borrow from the library online tho. I use my tablet to read library books.

To be fair, I haven't read a Laurell K. Hamilton book in years. I prefer more subtle magic in fiction these days.... I've been meaning to try the numerous new massively-bestselling romantic Fantasy series like A Court of Thorns and Roses though.

Yup.
I'm reminded of a "National Lampoon" article where the topic, "A Woman's View of Sex" was published. A long page of text, then overleaf was a picture of a single bare light bulb with a pull chain, mounted to the ceiling.
Added:
BoT, I don't generally read books with magic (if one considers faster-than-light travel as not magic). I do enjoy books by Pratchett and Zelazny. Pratchett died before I discovered his writing, though. Both died too soon.

^A man and woman are having sex in the missionary position, as usual. After a bit the woman says, "Beige." The man says, "What?" She replies, "Beige, I think we should paint the ceiling beige."
