The Absurd GOP
RE: The Absurd GOP
What do you expect when Republicans love their cult of ignorance.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

But at the same time they are ok with Donald Trump being a felon who raped little girls.

Is absurd really an absurd enough word to fully detail the absurdity of the absurd fools?

The preposterous, illogical nonsense, these absurd clowns swallow and regurgitate is absolutely fucking ridiclous. Thinking, is something they have never done, not for a single second. Sheep will continue to sheep.

Josh Hawley: ‘I’m advocating Christian nationalism’

U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) declared Monday he is advocating for Christian nationalism, a far-right ideology that claims there is no separation of church and state in the Constitution, and promotes as a national religion Christian fundamentalism, a hardline, extremist brand of Christianity at odds with the religious beliefs of many Christians across the country. It opposes LGBTQ people and people of other faiths or of no faith, and their civil rights. It often has links to neo-Nazis, white supremacy, and dominionism, and many see Russia and Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, as its leader.

This has really been going on for a long time now.  I am a bit torn...should people just keep a civil tongue or is it better to know what you are dealing with when they are loud and proud about it?

The Tea Party started the quiet part out loud schtick, so I agree that's it's not new. Hawley is awful in so many ways this is just another layer. I think the ones who keep quiet while racisting and christianing are more dangerous than senate bro.

Republican Lauren Boebert says she wants ‘biblical citizenship training’ in public schools
Pink News
Quote:Boebert’s chilling comments were made on an episode of FlashPoint, a Christian news show which airs on the Victory Channel, owned by the anti-LGBTQ+ televangelist Kenneth Copeland.

The Colorado Republican and gun rights activist, who has previously said that LGBTQ+ people should be banned from coming out before the age of 21, discussed the upcoming midterm elections and said Republicans must prove that they will “get America rolling again”.

She added: “Maybe we need to have some sort of legislation that requires… biblical citizenship training in our schools. And that’s how we get things turned around.”

Sounds like Christian indoctrination. No indoctrination is reasonable. I'm an atheist but I wouldn't want children to be taught atheism. I want a secular society.
