If I misinterpreted, please clarify.

I replied to a post about Trump being shot and stated that it was unfortunate that someone else was killed, but fortunate that he has made him a hero. The thread was gone within 5 minutes.

It's the second part that confuses me. Fortunate that who made whom a hero?

The person who tried to assassinate him. Now he is a man who was nearly martyred, but survived.

So my initial interpretation was correct.

You do realize your concept of fortunate basically cancels out the "unfortunate" sentiment.

The only people buying that are people who already support him. No one who slurs GIs buried in the heights above Omaha Beach can be a hero for simply surviving an attempted fragging.
