Fuck.  He'll probably end up here in Texas.  Like we need another idiot with a microphone and money.

The boyfriend has considered moving to Texas. I would only consider it if we moved to a big city. And I know one of them has been labeled as gay friendly.

Dallas has the Gayborhood.  Austin is a cool place and probably pretty gay friendly.

He will. NPR is reporting that SpaceX will relocate to its facility at Brownsville, though it's unclear if that the company's entire California assets or simply the administrative operations.

Houston and Austin both are LGBTQ+ friendly.

I found a decent list of gay-friendly Oases in Texas here.

The four biggest cities made it, but the surprising one on the list was Marfa. Being the shooting location for movies like Giant, No Country for Old Men, and There Will Be Blood might have been a big draw for so,e more artistic types. Then again, a population of 1788 might not be a good size.

There's actually more, but hey, don't let someone who lives here interfere with your notions. As AWTY mentioned above, D/FW is fairly friendly, as is El Paso. Outside the big cities, sure, that goes down, but that's not very different from most other states. What's different is that Texas is so big that there's a lot of it outside of big cities.

RE: Elon Musk
Fun fact: Texas is massive enough, with so many cities so far away from each other, that in the 1950s-1970s, it could sustain several profitable airlines just focusing on Texas without ever leaving the state. Hell one of them, Southwest Airlines, is still going to this day, although, of course, that particular carrier has long since gone international.
