RE: Home Elevator
A technician was here yesterday to inspect my home elevator and perform whatever maintenance was needed. It's now good for another six months' service.  Great

A technician from my oil company was here yesterday to perform routine spring maintenance on my furnace. He's a new guy who has never been in my house before. He didn't know what my elevator was until I went down to the basement to see what he was doing. He had never seen a pneumatic elevator before.  Hehe

An elevator takes us to a higher place. I love riding elevators. All the best.

I had a bit of a scare last week. Servicemen from my oil company came to perform maintenance on my furnace. They had to leave temporarily to get some spare parts. Soon afterward, I tried to go to the basement to get something from the freezer, only to discover that my elevator wouldn't work. I called the elevator service company to report the problem and the dispatcher said she'd contact a service team who would return my call. The oilmen returned a few minutes later. It occurred to me then that they might have thrown the wrong breaker switch when they were trying to shut off power to the furnace. One of them went back to the breaker panel and discovered their error. I then received a response from the elevator company's repair team, who said they could be at my house early that afternoon. I told them what the oilmen had done and apologized for wasting their time.  Blush

My housekeeper did some cleaning up in my library this week. She rode the elevator from the attic to the basement and back again two or three times. I think she gets a kick out of using it. I'm her only client that has a home elevator. She also uses it when she brings in my groceries.

My housekeeper overdid her perfume last week. After she brought my groceries up to the kitchen, my elevator still smells like Lilies of the Valley.  Shock

I recently had a new oil tank installed in my basement. My oil man came over yesterday to give me the bill. Instead of knocking at the back door, he came in through the cellar and came up the elevator. He said he knocked at the back door, but there was no answer. I'm guessing that was just an excuse to ride the elevator. He left the same way.  Naughty

If I were ever in the Northeast, I would have to stop by to meet you and ride that elevator.  Not to be mistaken for ride you and see the elevator.   Tut Tut

I'd be happy if you stopped by for coffee and a chat sometime. As for riding me, at my age, you'd have to sit on my lap while we tooled around on my wheelchair.  Dunno
