Elon Musk
RE: Elon Musk
Retired Army general declares Musk a ‘national security risk’

General Honoré noted that Musk and his company SpaceX already face federal reviews for failing to provide details of meetings with foreign leaders, but said that such infractions were “just the beginning of my worries.”

Musk has previously borrowed at least $1.4 billion from banks controlled by the Chinese government to help build a “gigafactory” in Shanghai for Tesla. The factory was responsible for more than half of Tesla’s global deliveries in the third quarter of 2024.

“China does not tend to give things away,” Honoré wrote. “The country’s laws stipulate that the Communist Party can demand intelligence from any company doing business in China, in exchange for participating in the country’s markets. “This means Mr. Musk’s business dealings in China could require him to hand over sensitive classified information, learned either through his business interests or his proximity to President-elect Donald Trump.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Musk's response that it wasn't the car's fault.  *eyeroll*

That may be true but using a Tesla to blow shit up in front of a Trump hotel seems to be fitting.

A clear message to the incoming administration.

My first reaction was my stomach falling a bit because my niece was in Vegas over the New Year for a concert and other shenanigans.  Not that I thought she would blow up a Tesla in front of a Trump property but just worrying about her safety.  Once I learned it was a Trump property, I knew she was nowhere near there...on second thought, I should call my sister... Elon Musk calls on King Charles III to overthrow UK government

Tesla CEO Elon Musk called on King Charles III to overthrow the United Kingdom's Labour government.
Musk has been taking swipes at the Labour government for days but reached a fever pitch this week when he voiced outrage over the government's handling of the mostly-Pakistani rape gangs that victimized thousands of white British girls for decades. Right after midnight on Friday, he issued his most drastic statement yet, agreeing with a post that called on King Charles III to intervene and dissolve the government.

Musk called german president Steinmeier an "anti democratic tyrant", ignoring the fact that Steinmeier, just like Charles III, while being head of state, has close to zero political power.

What’s even funnier is that Musk thinks King Charles III is in charge of the UK government.

Yes, Charles has the power to dissolve Parliament, but only at the advice of the Prime Minister. Since the current PM (Ken Starmer) is also the head of the Labour Party, I don’t see him advising the King to dissolve a Labour government.

Musk is an ignoramus.

Same with the german president and chancellor.

2x. He is complaining that Charles did not dissolve parliament (?), and angry that Steinmeier did (?), while both dont really have a say in that matter.
He is clearly an idiot.

And given Labour’s whopping great majority in Commons, he’s not going to call for new elections (which happens when Parliament is dissolved).

I suppose we can add ‘how governments work’ to list of things Musk doesn’t know.
