Could be ex life (as far as we know)

Seems like the best evidence we have found so far. There have been claims that Viking found current life in 1976 but this is a lot more solid. Now that the news is out, every geologist and chemist on the planet has a shot to falsify it. It'll be interesting to revisit this in a year.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

We should talk more about how the rover collected the stones on Mars, including the one with potential life, but no one wants to give money so that NASA sends a machine to collect them.
So write to your local billionaire, and start petitions because we need fresh Martian rocks. People have technology and knowledge to do it but no money to answer the question if there is other life in space.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
