Obviously, your favorite novel doesn’t include a scene where the main character singles out the tympanist as the only good part of the show.
Absolutely correct. However, my favourite novel does include a scene where a much-maligned recluse saves the lives of two children.

You're back. To what do we owe the annoyance?

Just wanted to see what my old friends were up to. I've been going through quite the mental health battle.

I was raised with Star Trek/Roddenberry and, clandestinely due to my catholic upbringing, Uncle Carl Sagan. Broader perspective and an optimistic one for our species. Pale blue dot stuff. No one is coming to save us from ourselves.
These ideas are mostly dead now. They've been replaced by likes and clicks and views and other vapid reasons. We're not serious. We're a culture of memes

I’m weirdly impressed - that was depressing and lyrical at the same time. Good stuff.

This is kinda cool. I sent some quilts that I have made with my granddaughter for her to give to the children's home where she is doing an internship. I got a note from them thanking me and letting me know they are going to use a couple of them as decoration in their new facility.
