What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?

Not remotely a celebrity, but my obit has been written for years. It'll probably have to be published in one of 'those' newspapers. You know, the kind where facts are optional and all the editors are Art History majors.

'Loath' and 'loathe' don't mean the same thing. Loath is an adjective specifying reluctance. Loathe is a verb specifying hatred.

So, ‘I am loath to loathe [so and so]’ is grammatically correct. That make me weirdly happy.

Apparently, this is the first synth-pop song ever:

Yes, that’s an actual synthesizer called the Novachord, and here’s someone more modern using the same instrument on the same song.

Per Clara Mattei Escape from Capitalism: The problem of global hunger has actually worsened in recent years and in 2024 accounted for 45 percent of child deaths worldwide. If anyone thinks that man is moral creature then I invite said someone to contemplate this.

Ms Mattei make a small but significant error - Man is a moral creature. The trouble is that some morals are absolutely execrable.

It is I who write about morals not Mattei - she is merely giving data.
