In the game, blackberries don't "grow" in spring. So I had to look it up.
Blackberries do not typically produce edible fruit in the spring; instead, they grow vegetatively, with new canes (primocanes) emerging and old canes (floricanes) flowering. The plant grows actively in spring, requiring pruning of dead wood and supporting new cane growth. While fruit generally ripens in summer, some varieties may show early blooms in late spring.
In the game and in real life, the same goes for blueberries in winter.
