Well, it works in two ways.
Either I'm more joyful when drinking, or I'm so depressed, and talk about depressing things with equally depressed people, and curse fate all the time.
That's part of the whole turkish drinking thing.

It's part of the everywhere drinking thing. Alcohol is actually a depressant. It's best just to find a happy medium while sober.

Well, here, it generally is dependent on the circumstances here.
The beer house where I was drinking was a rather cheerful place, but the picture where our drinking table was...Well it was a place where we drank raki amongst ourselves. It's generally where we talk about things like women-related issues, or once we have drank sufficiently enough, politics, something what I call "saving the country at the drinking table".

bahaha, we do that too...saving the country over drinks. Best done over beer or vodka - the tequila breaks us out in fights.

I prefer whiskey, though I don't imbibe anymore.

Whiskey is like something I prefer to drink alone and in order to relax..
Never drank whiskey with someone else, or at a place.

I'm about to get my last glass of Johnnie Walker right now.
