Veganism?

I hate to say it, but I agree with you. Vegans are actually closer to food, so if fear of cannibalism is why they are vegan, they aren't really helping themselves in that department.

Then it isn't really arbitrary, it's instinctive.
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."

I'm always amazed at the fact that threads about veganism reduce the IQ of non-vegans and non-vegetarians to a number that's very close to zero.

Just read through the thread, should be descriptive enough. Of course, there's some nonsense from the vegans, too, and as a vegan, I actually don't know what's worse: People just spewing crap, or vegans being serious about humans being herbivores, etc (just read some of the bull crap that vegans and vegetarians post on veg*an forums, it's ridiculous).

My main issue is the incredible amount of immature behavior that you typically find in threads such as this one. Are people really unable to discuss this topic in a serious manner?

After a certain point it becomes obvious that we're joking. It's hard to have a serious argument with a vegan or vegetarian. In fact, I refuse to have a serious argument with a vegetarian; just because you're arguing, doesn't mean I have to take part in it. It's like an argument with an infant about who should be the next president.
Lol, I just found this today, and I thought it would be relevant.
