If you return to nothingness, you will be unable to comprehend all the luscious shit that you've missed out on. The moment your brain dies you will know nothing, think nothing and not even know you ever lived...there will be no lamenting and regret, it is impossible.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

Do you realize how idiotic your statement is? Gnashing of teeth is from the Greek Brygmos which is where the medical term Bruxism comes from. Stop talking because each time you make yourself sound more retarded.

Thanks Christian and Drich for the answers given, you both defend your faith well.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

A man in the nuthouse defends his faith that he's a hedgehog. Even if you show him a mirror and some pictures of hedgehogs. That proves faith proves nothing, right?
Nietzsche and Doug Adams reference all in one burn? You're goddamn right.

We can see causality in action every day and when considering things without an apparent cause, our minds won't hesitate in providing with imaginary ones. That does not mean that the individual would lean towards one religion or another - why, he may come up with a religion of his own. However, religion here would be the result of limited knowledge and any leanings, even if such existed, would still be wrong.

I'm just wondering.. I keep mentioning that the person that saved you lot most likely didn't exist. Logically this should be one of the BIGGEST points you guys should be arguing against because your faith hinges on that man's existence. It doesn't matter how well you can construct reality based on theology because without the pillar, who is Jesus, the whole structure comes crashing down.
Simple as that.

I resent that. I work wonders every day. Doctors, teachers, artists, mothers, fathers, students, soldiers, engineers, scientists and the waitress at IHOP work wonders every day. Surely, since no one has ever even proven gods of any kind exist, we can give credit to at least all of the people in this world who have been busy working real, tangible wonders in the real world.
Surely this invisible god of yours is not the only one who can work wonders. God didn't have a thing to do with all their wonders. And if you're going to credit him for a lot of awesome people's efforts, will you not credit him for all of the tremendous fuck-ups as well?
Perhaps there are some holes in your morality and logic that you should examine a little bit before opening your taco chute with some stupid bullshit like that.
god the only one who can work wonders?? Give me a fucking break!

I can only partially agree because there is a known Brazilian tribe that doesn't worship a divine being of their own. This goes to show that no exposure to scripture of any sort can sometimes leave the individual with that neutral view of the world.

There is more than enough evidence that Jesus Christ existed. You can start the ball rolling by reading the Bible. 1 Corinthians 15:14-19.
