Electronic Cigarettes, or e-cigs, e-smokes, whatever you want to call them, are tobacco free nicotine vaporizers... and I'm here to tell you that they work!!

I was a heavy smoker for over 30 years. I'm talking 2 or 3 packs per day for something like 11,000 days. In the last decade or so, I tried practically everything to quit. Cold Turkey didn't even come close. The Nicotine Patch only worked for a few weeks. The gum didn't work at all. On and on... nothing could get me off the cigarettes.

Then I heard about the nicotine vaporizers. I looked into them and figured it was worth a shot. I picked one up and have not smoked a cigarette since the 1st of January. 4 months without a cigarette is the longest I have gone since I began smoking as a kid.

It gives me something to hold on to, something to suck on... I can inhale, exhale what looks like smoke, and even blow "smoke rings". It doesn't smell, doesn't stain, and only costs a fraction of what real cigarettes cost.

I'm not posting this so people will say "Good for you!". I already know it's good for me. I can tell, because my smoker's cough is gone. Gone! It's a miracle!

I'm posting this to let the smokers among you know that the nicotine vaporizers actually work. If you want to quit and nothing else is helping... give them a shot. They are the best thing since hickory smoked bacon.

Good to hear that. I was beginning to doubt precisely that because all the smokers I know refuse to deal with a vaporizer and tobacco.

Have you considered the Magic Flight Launch Box? You can load ground herb (or tobacco) into it and power it via AA rechargable battery. I consider it the best 110$ I ever spent. Continuous use for 11 months and it still works. Life time warranty too.

The thing is so damn simple that it is durable by design.

I use them as well. It takes a while to get used to, and while having a drink I tend to ache for a "real" cigarette.

It isn't quitting, and it is NOT a cessation aid, but while you try to cut down, you aren't completely killing yourself. It even works out cheaper in the long run.

They don't smell, your breath isn't screwed, they aren't completely unhealthy. To be honest I can't think of a single good reason to buy real cigarettes apart from the aforementioned drinking alcohol issue.

I can smoke in the casino with it playing poker too, which means I don't have to leave the table

@Moros: I've tried one of those (a friend has one), but not for tobacco. It works. It works well.
