Yes, somewhat like us visiting a Christian forum then complaining about the 'rampant christianity'.

Upon reflection, I feel I must apologize for the above mockery which confused people here. I would like to withdraw it if possible.

I had simply become tired of the rampant atheism present here.

Well this is an atheist forum.Tongue

Atheists talk about the FSM just like a theist would a god to mock them. That's why I thought you were an atheist.

So you are a theist aren't you? I just want to make sure.Big Grin
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

What do you mean mock them? The FSM is just as real as any god.

Why? he is not hurting anyone with his beliefs as far as I am aware and he is just as much in title to interpret his evidence as he sees fit. The only problem I have is that he regards is as absolute truth and evidence for everyone but that is easy enough to refute.

ManOfGOD has on many occasions (in this forum) claimed he is the son of God. I find that deeply delusional; more so than fundamentalist Christianity.

Hey if someone claims to be Napoleon Bonaparte that is no skin of my nose. When people start to believe him, thats where it gets tricky.

I'm with that, that is one of my favourite quotes Tongue I meant, what do you understand that makes you think that?
I think Socrates was a great philosopher, especially considering how long ago he lived. He was well ahead of his time.
My favourite of his quotes is very probably his quotes on ignorance.
Here are probably my two favourite Socrates quotes at the moment atleast:
The first one relating to what you said (above): "I know nothing except the fact of my ignorance" - Socrates.
And the second one: "The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance" - Socrates.

I think simply claiming he is the son of God doesn't mean he actually believes it. He might be messing around or whatever. But if he actually believes it, although it is unlikely that anyone will believe him, it is bad for him. He can't help being ignorant of the truth. He can help choosing to ignore things, but in my opinion, choosing to ignore things that you simply don't want to believe, whether it is true or not, is one of the biggest cases of ignorance of all. And how could he help the ignorance of approving of deliberate ignorance? If you believe that this is indeed also ignorance. How could he help that? And if he actually believes it is all true, and isn't choosing to ignore things, he just really believes it, this is also of course ignorance which he can't help. In my opinion.
